TO DIRECTOR - LAW FIRM PROMOTES RISING STAR
HAMPSON Hughes Solicitors,
specialists in no win no fee personal injury compensation, has
promoted one of its former paralegals to a director within the
business.
Claudia Sofia Curcillo, who is 28 and from Southport, has been
promoted after demonstrating continued commitment and dedication to
the firm.Claudia rose quickly through the ranks after joining the company as
a paralegal in March 2010. She was later awarded Hampson Hughes
Solicitor's 1st training contract in October 2011 and qualified as
a solicitor in April 2013.
Whilst completing her training she helped to set up the costs
department, which now employs ten people. During this time she
forged excellent links with leading Senior and Junior Cost Counsel and
prominent cost experts and authorities throughout the country.
Commenting on her promotion Claudia said:- "I never imagined I
would be promoted to director so quickly but Hampson Hughes
Solicitors is a fast paced and dynamic company that enables its
staff to grow with the business. I am delighted to be part of that

Professor Dominic Regan of City University, London, who has worked
with Claudia in her current role said:- "Claudio is a

Claudia studied a law degree at Kingston upon Thames University in
Surrey. She then completed her LPC at The College of Law in Chester
before joining Hampson Hughes Solicitors.

1st Annual
National Pancreas Diseases Patient and Public Forum to be held in
Liverpool
ON Tuesday, 26 November
2013,
Merseyside will host the 1st ever National Pancreas Diseases
Patient and Public Forum, organised by the Pancreatic Society of GB
and Ireland alongside the National Institute for Health Research's (NIHR)
Pancreas Biomedical Research Unit (PBRU), based at the Royal
Liverpool University Hospital.
The event gives patients and members of the public the opportunity
to find out more about work taking place in pancreatic care and what
pioneering consultants, surgeons and researchers are doing to fight
against pancreatic diseases in the UK and Ireland. The forum will
look at how research into pancreatic diseases will help current and
future sufferers, as well as ways in which pancreatic disease could
be prevented.
Amongst the speakers, the Royal Liverpool and Broadgreen University
Hospitals NHS Trust's Director of Research, Development and
Innovation, Professor Robert Sutton will be looking at current
research into pancreatic diseases and people will be given the
opportunity to discuss where research is heading in the future.
Speaking about the event, Professor Sutton said:- "The
pancreas can be host to a number of major and life threatening
diseases, including acute and chronic pancreatitis as well as
pancreatic cancer, so this is a great opportunity for people to get
valuable insight into pancreatic care from some of the most
respected consultants and surgeons in the field."
This free event will be held at the Liverpool Hilton Hotel, 3 Thomas
Steers Way, Liverpool L1 8LW and will take place from 11am to 4pm.
Travel expenses will be reimbursed and lunch and refreshments are
also provided.
