Paul Carrack is
heading to the Preston Guildhall
THE legendary
Sheffield born singer, songwriter and former frontman of Ace,
Squeeze and Mike and The Mechanics has returned to the road and on
19 November 2014 he will be at the Preston
Guildhall, as part of his
latest tour. Paul Carrack has featured on over 60 albums, as well as
writing for The Eagles, Diana Ross, Tom Jones, Michael McDonald and Jools
Holland among others. One of the hardest working figures in modern
music, Paul Carrack is celebrating over 5 decades in the music
business. So if you go, you are in for one amazing night! Carrack really is
an independent, one man engine room! 'The Best of Paul
Carrack' tour encapsulates what Paul is great at, and that's
delivering and producing soul ballads, pop songs and Northern Soul
classics. Over the past decades or so Paul has worked
increasingly in his own right on many solo albums; Blue Views
(1995), Beautiful World (1997), Satisfy My Soul (2000), Groovin'
(2001), It Ain't Over (2003), Winter Wonderland (2005), Old, New,
Borrowed and Blue (2007), I Know That Name (2008), A Different Hat
with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra (2010) Good Feeling (2012) and
the current release Rain Or Shine (2013); what a fitting time to
bring out a Best of that combines many of Paul's legendary songs and
highlights these greats.
Paul recently played summer festivals including
international dates and a run of shows in Europe and North America
playing keyboards in Eric Clapton's band, who personally invited
Paul to join his stellar band and had him as featured vocalist.
Paul kicked off a 60 date UK theatre tour on the 24
October 2014 in Harrogate's Royal Hall and ends on 29 March 2015 at
the Milton Keynes Theatre. And for the first time, Paul will be
