Collision on Formby Bypass leads to congestion
EMERGENCY Services were called to a road traffic collision on the Formby Bypass (A565) after calls came in that suggested the biker had fallen off the vehicle. On arrival it was later reported that a motorbike had collided with a minibus, at around 6.20pm, on the South Bound section just after the River Alt Bridge. Merseyside Police spokesman later confirmed this to the media, saying:- "A member of the public called to report the collision, near Ince Blundell, involving a minibus and a motorbike." As a result of the collision it quickly has lead to very heavy congestion building up in and around the area, as emergency services arrived. We were told that the biker had "minor injuries." Emergency services then stayed at the scene to treat the biker and help manage the congestion.
