Sainsbury's Southport is in search of a new local charity to support
SOUTHPORT'S Sainsbury's Local Charity of the Year scheme is back for the 7th year and the Southport store is looking for a new charity to support from the Southport area. For the 1st time this year, customers will be given a choice of charities to vote for and the winning charity will then get help from the store to fundraise and raise awareness about the charity for the forthcoming year. Customers can vote between 15 June to 28 June 2015, in nearby stores and online. The Sainsbury's Local Charity of the Year scheme has raised over £7million over the last 6 years and has helped thousands of charities across the UK. Chris Griffiths, Store Manager of Sainsbury's Southport, said:- "We know there are so many great charities in the local area and we're really excited about providing a boost to 1 of these over 2016."
