Liverpool Singer and TV star, Cilla Black has
dies aged 72
THE Liverpool star has died in Estepona
on the Costa del Sol, where the star had a holiday home. Spanish police said a
woman named Priscilla White, aka Cilla Black had died at the age of 72. A post
mortem found Cilla died of natural causes, after losing her balance, falling and
hitting her head, before suffering a stroke. It is thought that the high
temperatures in Spain might have been a catalyst for the tragic accident. It is
reported that the eldest of her 3 sons, Bobby, 44, who had to break down her
bedroom door to get in and reach her. Cilla Black's body has been flown back to
Britain, on 7 August, via a flight at Malaga Airport to Gatwick in Sussex. The
body was then met by undertakers who will prepare it for the funeral service,
that is to be held in Denham, Buckinghamshire. Tributes have been paid to her
over the last few days from many of her friends in the world of entertainment,
which she had made over her 50 years in show business. These Tributes including
those from Sir Cliff Richard and former Beatle and fellow Liverpudlian Sir Paul
McCartney. Her most well know roles in her career will probably be as host on
both Blind Date and Surprise Surprise. He agent has said that:- "Her
