Police appeal following shooting in Bootle
MERSEYSIDE Police are
appealing for witnesses to come forward following an injury shooting that
happened in Bootle, on Monday, 7 September 2015. Merseyside Police said that
about 9.30pm, that night, Officers were called to Shelley Street, Bootle,
following reports that a man in his 20s had been shot. The victim sustained
serious wounds to his back, which are consistent with being shot, and was then
taken to hospital where his condition was described as serious. His injuries
were not believed to be life threatening. Detectives are keen to speak to 2
males seen on a motorbike in the area close to the time of the shooting. House
to house enquiries are being carried out and high visibility patrols have been
stepped up in the area to reassure the local community. The investigation is
still in its early stages and at this stage the motive for the shooting is yet
unknown, although it is believed that this is a targeted attack. Detectives are
