Celebs fly out from LJLA for a 'Dam' good trip with Flybe
A group of celebrities departed from Liverpool John Lennon Airport (LJLA) this morning on Flybe's new Amsterdam service, to spend the day out and about in the Dutch Capital performing live at various locations throughout the City.
Liverpool 5 piece vocal harmony group MiC LOWRY, local comedian and impersonator Darren Farley and singer/songwriter Andy Jordan who is best known for his role in Made in Chelsea, travelled to Amsterdam with 20 competition winners who come from across the North West and North Wales.
The prize winners all entered a radio competition on Capital Manchester and Capital North West and Wales, organised by LJLA to celebrate the start of Flybe's new service to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport. They are spending the day experiencing the best bits of Amsterdam, before they meet back up with the celebrities who will be giving a live roof top performance at one of Amsterdam's top hotels.
Flybe's new service to Amsterdam Schiphol Airport from Liverpool now gives
passengers the ability to connect onwards to the host of European and long
haul destinations available from this busy international hub.
Robin Tudor, Head of PR for Liverpool John Lennon Airport commented:-
"We had a nice surprise in store for the prize winners here this morning.
The first they knew about travelling over to Amsterdam with some celebrities
was at the departure Gate prior to boarding Flybe's 07:15 departure. The
celebrities have been great, having their photos taken with everyone and the
prize winners have even more to look forward to during the rest of their
trip to Amsterdam."
