Howard Kendall has died at the age of 69
THE Everton manager Howard Kendall
has died in Southport Hospital in the early ours of Saturday, 17 October
2015, aged 69. Tributes started to flood in, as the news broke, for this
very highly respected football legend. In a statement given to the press,
Everton FC said that:- "Kendall passed away in Southport Hospital,
surrounded by loved ones. It's a sad, sad loss and he will be sorely missed.
The thoughts of everyone associated with the Club are with Howard’s family
at this difficult time and it would be appreciated if everyone could respect
their request for privacy." He was the club's most successful
manager and an inspiration man. At the match against Manchester United, on
Saturday, both sides paid tribute by wearing black armbands as a mark of
respect and a minute’s applause was held before the game started. Our Editor
