Liverpool's leading family
Halloween event a winner despite the wet and wind Photographs by Alison Dodd
Photography.
MORE than 5,500 people braved the
horrors of the Autumn downpours on, Saturday, 24 October 2015, as the much loved
Spooky Welly Walk returned to Sefton Park. The pre-Halloween spooktacular
event is now a firm favourite in Liverpool's calendar; come rain or shine. This
year's walk raised over £32,000. The 2 mile walk, organised by
Roy Castle Lung
Cancer Foundation, was lined with over 25 trick or treat themed activities.
Families enjoyed mask making, riding the:- 'Spooky Welly Walk Train' and the
interactive storytelling. Jenny Roberts, Events Fundraiser for Roy Castle Lung
Cancer Foundation, said:- "The Spooky Welly Walk is the largest Halloween
event in the region and a fantastic opportunity for families to get dressed up,
have fun and take part in a range of Halloween activities. Despite the awful
weather, this year's event was bigger than ever before. It just shows how the
people of Merseyside are tough; no matter what their age. We want to thank each
and every 1 who took part, you are all heroes!"
