Re-opening of Bold Arms
pub with local TV star
A special VIP cut the ribbon to
open a newly refurbished Southport pub this week. The
Heartbeat TV series actor, and local, David Lonsdale, was invited to celebrate the transformation
of the Bold Arms pub on Botanic Road, where guests enjoyed a champagne
reception and tasters from the menu, as well as a meet and greet with the
team.
As part of the investment, the pub has received a complete makeover,
introducing a lighter colour scheme with some signature pieces of furniture
and contemporary fixtures.
The bar area has also been completely revamped, with the introduction of an
extended selection of local and national ales and world beers. The food
offering has also been updated, with a new autumn menu which now features
dishes such as an American craft burger, Caesar flatbread and pastrami
sandwich.
General manager at the Bold Arms, Sinclair d'Albuquerque, said:-
"We're hugely excited to be undergoing such a big transformation, and
thrilled that David came along to celebrate with us. He's well known in the
local area so it was a pleasure to host him and open with a bang.
We're encouraging our regulars and new guests alike to come down and listen
to some great music while sampling our extensive drinks list as well as the
delicious food off our new menu."
