Society
asks Southport for Eggs-Tra suppoty this Easter
DISADVANTAGED children in Southport
could have an eggs-tra special Easter thanks to generous people in the Town.
The Southport Branch of the Yorkshire Building Society has become a collection
point for the chocolate treats in aid of the Salvation Army, and customers
and members of the public are being asked to drop off an egg before,
Wednesday, 23 March 2016. Colleagues from the branch will then deliver the
eggs to the Salvation Army team during the Easter holidays later this month.
Karen Cannon, manager of the Yorkshire’s Southport branch, said:-
"We're hoping to have a fantastic response to our appeal for Easter eggs for
the children. We really want to help make a difference at this time of year
to children who otherwise may not get any Easter eggs. Hopefully these gifts
can help put a smile on their faces and we wish them all a happy Easter."
The branch, on London Street, is open for donations between:- 9am
and 5pm, Monday's to Friday's, 9.30pm to 5pm, also on Wednesday's and 9am
until noon on Saturday's.
