MORE than 300 girls will be descending

and Community Centre, on Thursday, 16 June 2016, from 9:30 am to 5:15pm.
The young athletes will get the amazing opportunity to meet some of the stars of
the FA Women's Super League, including Liverpool Ladies FC's Satara Murray and
Claudia Walker from Everton Ladies FC.
Budding players from schools across the region have been invited to attend by
the Liverpool County FA, to develop their skills and to see the top level female
footballers in action.
A huge number of games will be taking place on the day as well as a range of
activities and football workshops led by staff from The FA and the Liverpool
County FA.
Commenting on the opportunities festivals such as this present to participants,
Satara Murray said:- "I am really excited to have been invited to attend
the FA Girls Football Festival on Thursday 16th June. Since I have moved to the
UK I have noticed the dramatic increase interest in women's football both on and
off the pitch. Events like this provide young girls with a fantastic opportunity
to be able to continue their footballing development."
This festival has been planned to complement the work the FA is doing through
the:- 'We Can Play' campaign; which focuses on eradicating existing
stereotypes, whilst maintaining and increasing participation across the girls'
game.
