Masons Arms - 'Coffee and
Cake'
THE Masons Arms, on Anchor Street,
Southport, have raised over £300 for MacMillan
Nurses, on Friday, 16 September 2016. The
classic pub hosted a:- 'Cake and Coffee' event, which started at
around 11am and finished late in the evening. "We would like to thank all
who attended the event and helped us to support this amazing charity in the
process. MacMillan provides specialist services that make all the difference to
so many. Their nurses, who have specialist qualifications and skills in cancer
care, are extremely important to patient well being. That is why we often hold
fundraising events for them and we look forward to supporting them and their
events in the future..." said the Pub's Landlady, Brenda.
If you do not know already, Macmillan qualified nurse help people
living with cancer and their families receive essential medical, practical and
emotional support. If you want to contact the Southport Macmillan
Information and Support Centre, it's worth noting that since 6 September 2016,
they are now at a new location, on Stanley Street, PR9 0BY. The Centre offers
free advice, help and support to anyone affected by cancer, including family and
friends.
