Getting to Riverside
Fireworks is easy and accessible by public transport
ABOUT 8,000 people are expected at
Riverside Park, in Chester-Le-Street,
Durham,
on Sunday, 6 November 2016. Riverside Fireworks,
organised by Stanley Events includes a 25 minute, superhero themed fireworks’
display, all choreographed to music, and the full evening of entertainment will
also include a fun fair, live music, food and refreshments, plus a superhero
fancy dress competition!
Carl Marshall, Director of Stanley Events, said:- "Demand for this event
has been high, there is limited parking on site, but good public transport should
mean congestion is kept to a minimum. Bus Services provided by Go North East
make it accessible for people to attend the event from across the region."
Mark Ellis, Development Manager, Go North East, said:- "Getting to
Riverside Park is easy with Go North East with regular buses on the 78/78A
routes from Consett, Stanley and Sunderland, with buses stopping at one of the
entrances to the Park. It's also only a short walk from Chester-Le-Street Front
Street to Riverside Park, with frequent buses on the 21 from Newcastle,
Gateshead, Low Fell, Birtley and Durham."
