WHAT an event. The 13th Liverpool Santa
Dash, on 4 December 2016, has again won back the title from Las Vegas, in what
is a very hard fought annual Festive Challenge. Now we can hold our heads up
high as we are once again the "Biggest Festive Fun Run In The World..."
This
event, as always, was full of good humour. You could see people running with
dogs dressed in fancy dress, also some runners themselves took part in swimming
trunks and even Spiderman Costumes. Celebrities blended in against the massive
tide of red and blue. This event was an amazing site to watch and for those
taking part, we are told, it was just as amazing, if not more so.... The event
raises funds for a host of local charities and this year was supported by Radio
City and Blue Air. Following the main run, The Mini Dash, a 1K short run took
place. This was extremely well attended as well. Both events had the real
Farther Christmas at hand to set them off and to welcome the runners across the
finish line. To see more photos click on

A spokesman for BTR
Liverpool told us:- "13 might be for sum an unlucky number, but we have
had amazing luck. Fantastic weather and the biggest yet taking part in our
annual challenge. We would like to thank all who have helped put on this amazing
show and all the celebrities who have endorsed it, as well as taken part! We
also would like to thank Liverpool City Council for their help, along with The
Lord Mayor of Liverpool is Councillor Roz Gladden. Most of all, we have to thank
not only the public and our sponsors, who have all taken part in what has been
our best event yet! Without them we could not put on this amazing event and
raise thousands and thousands of pounds for local charities."
