AS the famous quote says:- "Just because
something is traditional is no reason to do it, of course." - The Blank
Book? but we feel we should? For 1 night of the year, communities pull together
and join hands to sing and welcome in the New Year. This celebration is
often a fantastic release of optimism and good will.
often this can be seen at home with family and friends or at
public events. You can even find it happening in local pubs and clubs.
Each year, our Editor, Patrick Trollope, heads out to capture
these celebrations in the pubs and clubs in and around the Northern end of
Merseyside, in both Formby and Southport.
This year we have had the pleasure of photographing at the
following venues:-
Formby Pinewoods Pub; Woodwards Winebar Formby; The
Freshfield Hotel; The Grapes Formby; Sacrebleu Bar Southport; Le Grog; Peaky
Blinders Bar; Masons Arms Southport; Fox and Goose, Southport; O'Learys Irish
Bar, Southport and the Corridor on Lord Street, plus Southport Food Center.
