Whiteness appeal following burglary at Gusto Southport
MERSEYSIDE police are appealing for
witnesses after a burglary at the Gusto restaurant on Lord Street, Southport,
over the Bank Holiday weekend, 16 April 2017. The 2 offenders broke into
the premises overnight, on Easter Sunday and stole a quantity of wine.
CCTV images have been recovered which Police are currently examining as part of
the investigation. Merseyside Police have also confirmed that they are
also investigating an earlier burglary at the restaurant, that happened on 4
April 2017, when a quantity of alcohol was taken after a forced entry into the
premises.
Local Police Inspector Graham Fisher said:- "I would
appeal for anybody who can help us with this investigation to come forward.
A thriving business community is vital to the Town and we will do our utmost to
bring to justice criminals who target the people who are simply trying to go
about their daily business and serve their community."
