Loaded handgun recovered
in Norris Green
MERSEYSIDE Police have informed us that
a loaded handgun was recovered in Norris Green, in the afternoon of Friday, 5
April 2017 and a male from Stockbridge Village. Merseyside Police said that at
around 3.35pm, patrols in Sovereign Road, Stockbridge had stopped 3 men, 1 of
whom was suspected to be in possession of cannabis. Following a search, cannabis
and a loaded handgun were found. The firearm has been seized for forensic
examination. 20 year old, Ryan Dawson, from Stockbridge Village, was later
charged with possession of a firearm. Dawson was kept in custody and appeared at
Liverpool, Knowsley and St Helens Remand Court, Liverpool, on Monday, 8 May
2017. A 19 year old male, from Croxteth, was also arrested on suspicion of
possessing a firearm and possessing cannabis, along with a 23 year old male,
from Kirkdale, who was arrested on suspicion of possessing a firearm, have both
since been released under investigation. |
