Save the Date - Wednesday, 19 July 2017 at 7:30pm
AFTER months of planning and discussion; and several meetings; the
'Southport Community Cinema' project is taking a huge step
forward, with a special evening planned. The event will be open to anybody
interested in the project, as well as those already registered.
Featuring a pop up cinema with a presentation, live on the big screen, the
event will take place right in the actual room that will soon be converted
into the Southport Bijou Cinema. Formerly the Latin Lounge, this is located,
at:- 8 Post Office Avenue, Southport, at the back of Southport Reporter's
Offices. The presentation will cover all aspects of the project so far,
current status, and a fascinating virtual tour around the building showing
what is in store. Also being screened will be a clip from a 'Grand
Designs' style documentary being filmed about the conversion of the
building into a cinema. New initiatives will be explored and the project's
new Hon Patron revealed. Entry to the event is free, but with limited
capacity in the yet-to-be-converted cinema room, booking is requested. To
book, visit the project's new
website.
