Bike & Go shares the love by offering 2 for 1 this Valentine's

BIKE hire scheme Bike & Go is bringing a touch of romance to various train stations across the region this Valentine's Day week; by giving users the opportunity for their companion to hire a bike for free.

Subscribers to the scheme can turn up to any 1 of 21 participating Train Stations across the region, including:- Southport, Formby, Ainsdale and Ormskirk, and hire 2 bikes for the price of 1 between Monday, 12 February 2018 and Sunday, 18 February 2018.

The offer means that users can enjoy an alternative Valentine's Day celebration this year, costing less than a large glass of wine.

With cycling being one of the ways of producing feel good chemicals, such as serotonin; which Oxford University researchers have proven has links to people's positive perceptions about their own personal relationships, it's also a great way to boost romance with a loved 1.

David O'Leary, director of Bike & Go said:- "Cycling's numerous mental and physical health benefits, not to mention the positive effect on the environment, makes it a lovely way to spend time with a partner. This Valentine's Day week, we want to see more people than ever before getting out and about and enjoying the many beauty spots that our fantastic region has to offer. Hopefully by inviting users to bring along a loved one for free, we can help couples enjoy a cost-effective date while boosting their health at the same time."

Bike & Go offers bike hire facilities from 70 participating train stations across much of the North West, North East and Yorkshire, East and South East of England, and Scotland.

In 2016 the scheme was praised by a UK division of the travel giant TripAdvisor when it was included in a list of the top 7 bicycle hire companies drawn up by its subsidiary rental company Holiday Lettings.

To hire a Bike & Go bike, users simply need to register their card details online, which they can do via smart phones, tablets, or at home, and pay the annual ₤10 subscription fee.

Bike & Go bike, users once the annual subscription fee is paid will then receive a user number via email which will allow immediate bike hire; usually charged at just ₤3.80 per 24 hours, up to a maximum of 72 hours; while they wait for their Bike & Go membership card.
