Liverpool ONE hosts a free pop up tennis event

THE Williams BMW Liverpool International Tennis Tournament 2018 is running from 21 June to 24 June 2018 and the organisers are currently holding a number of pop up tennis events taking place across Merseyside. Over the May ½ Term Break, Liverpool ONE hosted free tennis lessons on a full size courts, located in Chavasse Park. On 29 May 2018, we popped over with Abigail Foster, Miss Liverpool City Region 2018 and tennis coach Emma Rainbird, to discover more about the sport. This is a perfect way for youngsters to burn off some energy and have fun, plus on Sunday, 3 June 2018, this event heads to Southport. On 3 June from 12 noon to 4pm, you can find the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament Director, Andres Borg, plus a host of tennis coaches at the event, located under Southport Pier. This event is in collaboration with UK Hot Cars, who will also be putting on a fantastic show of cars, along the Town side of the Marine Lake, beginning behind the Genting Casino. It is worth noting that the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament is now the longest running and largest tennis exhibition in Europe! Plus it hosts some of the top players, who use the event as a warm up before Wimbledon, in a fortnight’s time. For more information about the Tournament, visit the official website.
