Summer Bursting With Entertainment At Liverpool ONE

LIVERPOOL 1’s circus season is about to get even bigger with even more spectacular acts and breath taking performers joining the summer long entertainment programme. In addition to the free to attend daily circus workshops, look out for special pop up performances from international acts across Liverpool ONE.

There will be everything from:- 'Wheel of Steel,' a 50ft wheel, on Thursday, 16 August 2018, where performers run along the outside at increasing speeds. The mesmerizing act can be seen from all corners of:- 'Sugar House Steps.'

Joining them is the impressive:- 'Calvos Duo,' which sees 2 "silver characters" manipulate crystal balls which glide, float, dance and levitate around their hands and bodies.

'Bring The Fire Project' will be on the Terrace from 7pm, on 18 August 2018 showing off their blazing skills and also teaching spectators how to handle the heat.

On Sunday, 12 August 2018, 'Project Vee' will be astounding visitors to Liverpool ONE from above, juggling on a giant spinning machine.

The performance includes bright props and music and will take place on Paradise Street between 12pm and 4pm. And the fun doesn’t end here…. Liverpool ONE will be hosting a range of new acts, on Sunday, 19 August 2018, 1 of which includes:- 'The Bonkers Balloon Show.' This is a comedy, music, magic and balloon show all combined into one. Joining them will be stilt walkers and unicycle jugglers from the:- 'Man on the Moon' team.

Ten Strings Duo, Marianatalia Ruscica and Davide Sciacca.

ON Friday, 10 August 2018, we headed into Liverpool to meet up with Violinist Marianatalia Ruscica and guitarist Davide Sciacca, who have both played for us last year. Both of them have returning to the UK, from Sicily, another UK Tour, as the award winning and were going live on BBC Radio Merseyside radio that same night.

If you are a local venue and would like to have them play at an event you are holding, please drop us and email via:- News24@southportReporter.Com and we will pass your contact information on to them. They are in Liverpool area from 13 July to 22 July 2018, also from 6 August to 15 August and from 23 August to 27 August 2018. Davide will be doing a few solo guitar events in October 2018. More info can be found on the on the groups Facebook Page. If your event is next year, we can also pass your request on to them.

If you do not know, Violinist Marianatalia Ruscica and guitarist Davide Sciacca began their collaboration in 2012. Their intensive work together has led to an extended repertoire of classical works from the early 19th Century including:- Niccolò Paganini, Mauro Giuliani, Napoleon Coste and Francesco Molino as well as more contemporary pieces by composers such as:- Astor Piazolla, Maximo Diego Pujol, Celso Machado, Laurent Boutros, Giuseppe Torrisi and Andrea Schiavo.

Their concerts are always warmly received by audiences and critics alike and have participated in classical music seasons organised by prestigious music organisations in theatres, concert halls, and heritage sites and buildings. Marianatalia and Davide won 1st Prize at the international Giuseppe Ierna competition, and also at the national competitions AMA Calabria, the Citta di Palermo, Alfio Pulvirenti and Magna Grecia.

From 2014 they appeared in the UK, playing at prestigious venues and have made numerous TV and Radio appearances at home and in the UK, especially at the Linda McDermott's late night show on the BBC Radio Merseyside. Then in the year 2016 they performed in the presence of Her Majesty The Queen Elizabeth the Second, His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales Charles and the other members of the Royal Family. They have also played in New York and other places in the USA. They currently teach Violin and Guitar at Conservatoire in Caltanissetta, and also in High Schools, in Sicily.
