The Titanic to host a very festive Ladies Day

ST. Joseph’s Hospice is inviting ladies from across Merseyside to join them for its annual Christmas Ladies Day which this year will take place, at The Titanic Hotel, Liverpool.  Christmas Ladies Day takes place, on Sunday, 25 November 2018, from 11.30am and will be hosted by Pauline Daniels.

Ladies will be welcomed with a festive drink on arrival before tucking in to a lavish 3 course lunch and an afternoon full of entertainment, Christmas shopping and pampering. Mini pamper treatments will be available from only ₤5 and a range of stalls will be selling a wide variety of gifts and treats. A disco will then get everyone up and dancing towards the end of the day. Tickets cost ₤40 with all proceeds going to support the Hospice.

Local businesses which sell Christmas gifts or crafts, chocolates or preserves can book a stall on the day for just ₤40. Sponsorship opportunities are also available for a range of budgets.

Julie McAdam, senior fundraiser at St Joseph’s Hospice, said:- "Why not get together with friends and family, or treat your team at work, and enjoy some festivities and pampering while supporting the important work of the Hospice? We also have a number of stalls available so that local businesses can sell goodies and we are also offering local businesses the chance to sponsor the event itself and we have a range of packages available to suit all budgets so get in touch early."

To book your tickets or reserve a stall, call:- 0151 932 6044 or via sending an email events@jospice.org.uk.

Local opticians brings new frame style technology to the people of Southport and Formby

LOCAL opticians will this month be bringing a new and exclusive virtual try on technology to Southport and Formby that will take the guess work out of buying glasses. The new technology, exclusive to Specsavers, allows customers to see how they look wearing glasses from every angle, seeing themselves as others would see them. Working with in store frame advisors, Frame Styler, it takes a scan of the customer’s face, analysing their face shape, examining their purchase history and marrying the results with the latest trends.

Louise Redknapp says:- "For me, Frame Styler represents the future of shopping. I’m a mum of 2.., I don’t have time to spend hours trying things on! Frame Styler meant I had all the options right in front of me and could quickly create a shortlist of the frames I liked the most. It also meant I tried on styles and colours I previously would have never gone near in a million years;  and guess what? I loved them all!"

Victoria Dunn, store director at Specsavers Southport and Formby, says:- "The Specsavers Confidence Scale shows that people want to branch out with their frame choices but confusion over different styles and lack of confidence is holding them back. We wanted to make it easier for them. Our Frame Styler technology uses an image of the face to work out what styles are best suited to any face shape."
