An award winning Wirral author is celebrating the release of her 2nd novel

ESTELLE Maher, 46, from Prenton, has spent the last 18 months writing her new book:- 'Angels Rebellion' which will be released on Amazon, in September 2018. The Mum of 2, who won:- 'Best Spiritual Fiction' in the '2018 Spiritual Book Awards' for her debut novel:- 'Grace and the Ghost,' says she's hoping the title will become another bestseller. Warm hearted Crowley the ghost returns in this well penned spin off, but Estelle says readers can expect a bit more grit and a bit less romance this time around.

Estelle Maher commented that:- "I'm absolutely thrilled to be releasing my 2nd book. I really thought my journey was going to end with 'Grace and the Ghost.' However, publishing Grace gave me the confidence and motivation to keep on writing. I sat down almost immediately after Grace was published and the words to 'Angels Rebellion' were literally bursting out of me onto the page. It's almost as if the book has written itself. Grace has given me the confidence to call myself a writer and I'm now getting more and more comfortable with this identity, which is fantastic. It feels like my dreams are finally being realised."

Estelle, who by day, works as a civil servant has written for many years, but only recently decided to pursue her ambition of becoming a published author and all her hard work is paying off.

Earlier this year she fought off competition from an outstanding number of book entries from across the globe on a range of topics from astrology to psychic awakening to be named Best Spiritual Fiction for her Amazon bestselling title:- 'Grace and the Ghost.'

Published with the support of independent publisher Team Author UK, 'Angels Rebellion' is a story about hope and faith. It will be released for sale, on Amazon, on 4 September 2018.

Its release will be followed by a book launch event at Liverpool's indie bookshop:- Write Blend, in Waterloo, Merseyside, on 28 September 2018, where Estelle will talk to guests about her journey as an author and will sign copies of her new book.

Public in Southport urged to learn signs and symptoms of leukaemia

Bethany Torr and Zack Pemberton-Whiteley from Leukaemia Care with the leukaemia symptoms card.

MEMBERS of the public in Southport are being encouraged to learn the symptoms of leukaemia during Blood Cancer Awareness Month (BCAM) which takes place throughout September 2018. Leukaemia Care, a national blood cancer charity, is attempting to raise awareness of the disease, as well as its signs and symptoms, as part of their #SpotLeukaemia campaign. In 2015, 9,900 people were diagnosed with Leukaemia. That's 27 people each day. Leukaemia can be hard to spot because the signs and symptoms are common to other unrelated illnesses.

The 6 most common symptoms experienced by all leukaemia patients prior to diagnosis are:-

Fatigue.

Bruising or bleeding.

Bone/Joint pain.

Fever or night sweats.

Sleeping problems.

Shortness of breath.

The campaign seeks to raise awareness of what leukaemia is, the symptoms to spot and who can be affected by leukaemia. The charity wants to equip people to spot the signs and symptoms of leukaemia, and urge them to visit their GP if they have any concerns. Early diagnosis saves lives and improves outcomes.

Leukaemia Care are giving away free symptoms cards to raise awareness of the types of leukaemia and to empower people to visit their GP if they feel worried. Symptoms cards, as well as more information about the campaign, can be found and ordered at:- LeukaemiaCare.Org.UK. The campaign can be found on social media by searching:- #SpotLeukaemia on Twitter.
