'Liverpool Dream' - The Royal de Luxe "Giants" leave the World in a gigantic way!

OVER marking the 10th Anniversary of Liverpool being European Capital Of Culture, the French company Royal de Luxe said that they would return with their "Giant" street puppets, for 1 last time, bidding a farewell to both the City and the World. From Thursday, 4 October 2018 to Sunday, 7 October 2018, they returned and what a show they put on! This was not only emotional for all involved, but ended up being the biggest event in the City's history, with well over a million people attending, bringing with them a huge boost to the local economy. Not only that, they also visited the Wirral, strengthening the bond between both, Liverpool City Council and Wirral Councils, in what is hoped to be a landmark event to build on for future events. We will add even more photos from this event within our Bonus Edition, out on Wednesday Evening (10 October 2018.)Plus within our next 3, normal weekly issues, we will be adding lots of photographic coverage from this historic event as well as video, but we would also like to know what you, our readers thought about it. We have already heard from some, who have been suggesting that Jean-Luc Courcoult, the French creator of the Giants should be awarded the:- "Freedom of the City of Liverpool."
