Students Celebrate in Style

IT has been a busy time for the Chefs at StedyChefs Learning Centre, in Fazakerley, Liverpool, who have excelled in their course over the past couple of weeks. Students had not only 1, but 2 Christmas Dinners that were to prepare, cook and serve (before they even think about their own!)

On Thursday, 6 December 2018, students of StedyChefs were requested by a local group of elderly women to prepare and cook their Christmas Lunch; as they had heard of how great the students are. They were overwhelmed by the efforts that students had went to in ensuring that all details were perfect for their day.

The passion and desire that the students at StedyChefs Learning Centre, have for Catering and Hospitality is unreal. They have demonstrated this through their progression and dishes they have created the past 18 months, all whilst gaining valuable employability skills and working towards gaining accredited certificates.

Thursday, 13 December 2018, students were up for a real test in catering for their Parents and Carers; who were all thrilled with the results. Students independently created a menu (taking allergens and dietary requirements into consideration), helped to shop for the ingredients needed and then created it completely from scratch.

The dishes were simply breathtaking and some parents were even reluctant to take a bite, as they looked like pieces of art. However, once they digged in; compliments were given to each and every one of the Chefs

Students were then presented with their certificate for the module which they have recently finished and congratulated for how they have grown and how much they have achieved the past 18 months. We look forward to serving up some treats and taking the next steps in 2019!
