Southport Festival 2019 - Part 2
Photographs by Patrick Trollope.

THE Southport Festival was held over 10 May 2019 to 12 May 2019 within and around a wide range of Town Centre's venues and open spaces. These photos are of some of the events activities taken on Sunday, and a selection of readers photos snapped on the Saturday, at the Brick Craft Toys (Wayfarers Arcade) Lego building event. Sunday's activities included singing, by local groups, that included the Learning Rooms, plus the headline show:- 'Reynard The Fox' performed by an outdoor theatre company called:- Fabularium, on the Lord Street Gardens.

This year's Southport Festival, we think, was a fantastic family fun event... But last week we said we would show you some readers comments about the Southport Festival so these are a few of them:-

"This was an extremely interesting event. We found lots of things to see and do. Please run this again next year...!" Jill from Formby.

"Lots of storytelling activities, so why not bill this as an Arts and Literary Festival?" Tom, from Liverpool.

"I took all the family to this event. Very good, but please look at parking costs!" Graham, from Preston.

"Why was this not pushed out more in the media. I did not know it was taking place until I accidentally found out." Stephany, from Southport.

"Raynard the Fox was amazing, but don't we have more local acts just as good? It was billed as the 'Southport Festival' with my focus being on 'Southport.' So why not promote the local talent to those attending?" Oliver, from Southport.

"I thought this was silly. No activities for teenagers, just young kids." Jacob, from Ainsdale.

"Why did they not have the amazing bikes on Sunday, just on Saturday, outside the Town Hall?" Ximena, from Liverpool.

We would still love to hear your thoughts about it. Please do let us know via emailing:- News24@SouthportReporter.Com. If you did not see Part 1, please click on here now.
