Ship and Anchor's Pirate Day

AS Liverpool held its Mersey River Festival, the Ship and Anchor, up the road, in Southport, was holding a:- "Pirate Day" in aid of Southport Lifeboat. The event was held on 1 June 2019, and was extremely well attended.  This largely traditional themed pub, located Cable Street, Southport, was busting with life through out the day and got event more popular after Liverpool winning the Cup. The event had live music, face painting, sponge throwing, raffle, fancy dress for the children, sweets, cakes and more... But this was no ordinary promotion, as it was in aid of Southport's Independent Lifeboat, run by the Southport Offshore Rescue Trust (SHORT)  who are a voluntary lifeboat and sea rescue charity.
