Photos by Patrick Trollope.

SAMUEL Jelloh is originally from Sierra Leone and is now living and working in Southport, a world a way from the slums of 1 of the poorest countries in the world. Recently Sam, as he is known mostly as, has released a book about his life, that details of how as a teenager, he was caught up in the horrors of the civil war, after he became the flag bearer for his country at the All African Games and then his move to the UK. Sam is now a dad and has also become an internationally respected coach. Recently he has been delivering motivational speaking workshops worldwide and promoting his inspirational book:- "How Tennis Saved My Life." Over the last few weeks, he has also been promoting his book locally, this included delivering a talk at Write Blend in Waterloo, Rainford Tennis Club and Sphynx Tennis Club (Southport) as well as at the Williams BMW Liverpool International Tennis Tournament. He is also due to go to Wimbledon to deliver his inspirational message, before helping the players. These are a few photos we took at the Sphynx Tennis Club of him conducting his book signing.
