90th Southport Flower Show - Part 1

THE 90th Southport Flower Show has opened its doors with thousands of visitors, despite the weather leading up to the show, the amateur and professional gardeners have both managed to deliver an amazing display this year. Even the rain at this years show has not dampened their enthusiasm.

The event stated with Strictly Come Dancing judge Bruno Tonioli officially opening the show, in a brand new arena tent. He was not the only celebrity at this years show. This year the theme is entitled:- 'Garden Party' and all over Victoria Park, exhibitors have put up displays celebrating the 90th show and also quite a few have been inspired by the whimsical world of Alice in Wonderland. A big congratulations has to go to newlyweds James + Ann Marie, from J&A Japonicas, in Formby, who have won The Best in Show, The Brockhouse Gold Challenge Trophy for the 2nd year running!
