Formby's Coastguard Houses
have been demolished
THE end of an era in Formby as the homes built in
1949 to house members of the Coastguard are demolished. They are being
deleted to make way for a gated community that will have 12 detached houses
located within it. The Coastguard Houses have become a local land mark

Liverpool has formally committed to drop academic sanctions for non-tuition fee

More tremors detected at Preston New Road fracking site
THE UK's only fracking site on the Preston New Road, Lancashire, has
again reported more tremors, following the magnitude 1.55 tremor, the largest
