Championships - Part 1
SADLY the British Musical Fireworks
Championships on Friday had to be cancelled due to the weather, but Saturday, 28
September and Sunday, 29 September still went ahead despite the extreme weather.
Even with Southport's Victoria Park remembering a big marshy lake, the wind and
rain, the horrendous conditions did not put off the crowds as hundreds of
people, from all over the UK and we also found out that some had come just to
see...

Merseyside Police Officers attended a residence on All Saints Road, Speke and

Campaign calls for bold
action on transport
THE Save Rimrose Valley campaign is
calling for bold action, in its ongoing fight to stop the construction of a road
through the popular country park in North Liverpool. The group is demanding the
immediate cancellation of Highways England's A5036 Port of Liverpool Access
Scheme in favour of a non road, sustainable alternative. It wants the existing
A5036 route to become free of all port related HGV traffic as part of any new
solution. It also calls for Peel Ports to play its role in solving the air,

74% of North West trades people haven't

A whopping 74% of trades people in the

AROUND 300 staff employed by private
contractor Compass within NHS trusts in St Helens and Blackpool have announced a
further 6 days of strike action beginning on 14 October 2019. It is the latest
round of action taken by the Hospital workers over the company's failure to

Liverpool
KINSHIP carers are being celebrated in
Liverpool next week, and grandparents, relative or family friends bringing up
someone else's child are being urged to get involved.
Kinship Carers Liverpool is the longest running and largest kinship care support

to the Conservative Party announcement on live exports
COMPASSION in World Farming has commented that the
Government's announcement that proposals will be unveiled to end live animal
exports from the UK for slaughter, is:- 'very significancet' after
