Remembrance Day Services and Parades in Sefton - 2019

ON Merseyside, Remembrance Day Services took place on Remembrance Sunday and also on Armistice Day. This year the turnout for the services was high, as residents and visitors to the area paid their respects to those who fell in conflict. These are photos and video footage taken at Southport's Remembrance Sunday Service, Formby's Remembrance Sunday Parade to Holy Trinity Church, Formby's Armistice Day Service and the Polish Society's Remembrance Service, at Our Lady's Church, Formby. Also this year, for the 1st time we attended Maghull North Station, to mark the forgotten victims of conflict; those shot during the 1st World War for cowardice and also those with Post Tramatic Stress Disorders (PTSD). Here, The Mayor of Sefton, Cllr June Burns, laid a very special wreath on the new War Memorial. This Memorial is located just off School Lane adjacent to the former Ashworth Hospital, that was started out as Moss Side Hospital, in World War 1.
