Formby Arts Festival 2002
LIFEBOAT ROAD MEDIAEVAL EVENTS 6 - 7 July.

 

Saturday 6 July:-


11am onwards - Activities field. Fine, crafts, country, crafts, stalls and pursuits. Coastal Rangers' events: conservation demos, traditional country pastimes, woodcrafts, willow weaving, artists on location. Children's swings and roundabouts.   
Plus the Little Steam Train of Formby. 

12 noon onwards. 'Knights in Battle' re-enactment group.  See the knights in the refectory.

1.30 pm. Official opening in Outdoor Theatre, by Lord Lieutenant of Merseyside Alan W. Waterworth, Esq.

4.30pm. Activities' field. Mediaeval re-enactment groups 'Escafeld' and 'Knights In Battle'. Children's games.  Entertainment by Formby High School. Excerpts from Shakespeare lays. 'As You Like It' and 'Henry 1V, Part l.' 

All day events are free to watch!

Sunday:- 

11am Onwards. Fine, craft stalls and country, crafts. Coastal Rangers conservation stalls, wood, turning, basket weaving and more. Children's swings and roundabouts. 

Plus the Little Steam Train of Formby. 

12 noon onwards. 'Knights in Battle'.30 pm 'Old English Music' concert in 

Outdoor theatre by the Parbold Chamber Choir. (Free) 

1.30pm. Ecumenical Church Service accompanying music in the Outdoor theatre organized by the Association of Formby Churches. 

2pm to 4.30pm. Mediaeval combats, archery, dancing, children's times by 'Escafeld'. 

All day events are free to watch!


N.B. Ample Car Parking, but there is a Sefton Council parking fee for use of the car parks.
