Please show your support at a St Gouges Day Parade in Southport

ON Sunday, 24 April 2022, the Southport and Formby Scouts will be joining up on Prices Park, Southport, from 1:30pm for the Annual St George's Day Parade. The event will see members of the Organisation setting off at 2pm down the Esplanade, on to the Promenade, then heading through Lings Gardens and over the Wooden Bridge, and back onto the Park for a 3pm finish. Unlike in previous years, they will not be heading for a church service, due to the numbers taking part. this is due to the merger of the Southport and Formby groups, into a new regional group that is now called:- North Sefton Scouts, Please do go out and show your support. this is the 1st event like this since the Lockdown and we are told that all those taking part are extremely exited and pleased to be able to restart this fantastic tradition that has been running for nearly 50 years! NSPCC statement on Craig Crowther, of Northwich, jailed over child sex abuse charges

AN NSPCC spokesperson said:- "Crowther’s terrible abuse of a sleeping child and his sharing of indecent images of children shows the ease at which offenders are using the internet to create these horrific webs of abuse. The NSPCC will continue to lobby the Government to ensure the proposed Online Safety Bill is robust, fit for purpose and can effectively keep children safer online, so it can prevent abusers like Crowther from committing these appalling crimes."

Customers will benefit from the trusted expertise of Decathlon’s store teammates, whilst also being able to touch and try the products so they can find the sports equipment that is perfect for them. Decathlon is thrilled to be encouraging even more people across the nation to get active and try something new with its latest store opening, which will also help support local community groups and sports teams in Liverpool and the surrounding areas. Since its UK launch over 20 years ago, Decathlon has grown to be 1 of the UK’s leading outdoor and sporting retailers.
