Not only that, but Far Away Land has teamed up with autism charity Autism In Motion, to create a huge Calm and Sensory Zone for children who might become overwhelmed and need a little respite from the festival fun.

There will also be a Food and Market Village, with tons of independent stalls from delicious donuts to lip licking Lebanese treats.

This year's fancy dress theme is to come as your favourite characters from books or TV.

Fancy dress shop Smiffys is giving out vouchers to its favourites; with a fancy dress catwalk to be held each day too!

The whole Far Away Land family festival runs from 11am til 6pm on both Saturday and Sunday, and both days' entertainment are the same; so it doesn't matter which day you go, you'll still get to enjoy all the fun!

Far Away Land Festival organiser Andy Scott said:- "We have been working on bringing this event to Southport for the past 3 years - we are really excited to open it! Victoria Park is a great place to sit back and enjoy some food and we will have a variety of vendors, including:- vegan and gluten free options. We are turning Victoria Park into a Far Away Land, which will make visitors feel they are walking into a fairytale land when they walk in - they are really going to enjoy the weekend!"
