Brazilica Carnival 2022 - Part 1 of 2

THE Brazilica Festival, or Brazilica for short, is an international Samba Carnival Parade, that has been held now for 12 years now. The event is is the UK’s only festival of its kind, and after a 2 year break, due to Covid19, this fantastic event returned on:- Saturday, 6 August 2022. We had the pleasure of following this fantastic parade, from the start at Williamson Square, in Liverpool, to the end at Abercromby Square.  Surprisingly, after 12 years, this brilliant sensational summer event, that has been running since 2008 still is a surprise for many who stumble upon it, and that is both local and tourists alike... We think the 2022 Samba Carnival Parade, as it snaked its way through the City Center, ending just after the Sun had set and dusk had set in, was the probably the best yet.  We can't wait to the spectacular carnival parade's return to the City Centre in 2023... Our guest speakers are:-

►  Elizabeth Grant - A former Miss England and the competitor at Miss World in 2016. Elizabeth was not only Miss England, but also the first Black woman to hold the title. She will give you an insight into her experiences within the modelling industry and both at Miss England and Miss World. Elizabeth will also cover some basic modelling techniques, such as how to perfect your catwalk moves to modelling stances. She will also address ways to protect yourself from bullying, as well as looking at how to take care of your psychological wellbeing.

►  Peter Simon - An established fashion photographer and TV/ film actor, whose credits include The Ipcress File, Brookside and Mission Impossible. He is also the official photographer for ‘Impact Models’ which is 1 of the North West's top, long established, modelling agencies. Peter will teach you how to prepare for a photo shoot, what are the best model poses and how to look like a superstar on camera.

►  Barry Levey - Theatre Network and show Director of City Theatre Liverpool. Barry has extensive experience working with actors and he is happy to throw at you some acting secrets that will make your life easier. If you don't see the connection between modelling and acting, you will, after you hear Barry.

►  Patrick Trollope - Founder and the Editor of Southport and Mersey Reporter, and a PR representative for Miss Liverpool City Region. Being in business for 20+ years, Patrick will give you some basic tips on how to communicate with the media and how to stay safe when on modelling shoots.
