Bill Esterson MP praises Liverpool firm contributing to cleaner air

Zach Baigent with Bill Esterson at Cataclean

LABOUR MP Bill Esterson has praised a Merseyside business that is helping to reduce emissions from motor vehicles by up to 60%. Mr Esterson, MP for Sefton Central, said Cataclean, based in Liverpool L5 near to Sandhills Station, were helping to reduce the carbon footprint of vehicle movements around the world. Cataclean has been based in Liverpool since its beginnings in 1995, with the owner having been born in and still residing in Sefton Central. Mr Esterson visited the site to meet the firm's Technical Director Zach Baigent and Group Financial Director Paul Reid.

Mr Esterson said:- "It was a pleasure to be shown around the Cataclean site by Zach and Paul. They told me they had sold millions of bottles of Cataclean which can help maintain clean air zones, reduce carbon footprint and prolong the life of vehicles. Zach and Paul were also able to highlight the hurdles and issues they currently face with warehousing and freight forwarding. As a Shadow Minister for Business and Industry, visits such as these help Labour to help business. With so many businesses losing faith with this Government, Labour is becoming the party of business again. I was pleased to be able to take some of the Cataclean product away and use it in my own car."

Cataclean produce a range of:- 'all in 1' cleaning products for engine, fuel and exhaust systems that can reduce a vehicle's emissions by up to 60%. It can also restore performance and improve fuel economy and is widely recognised as a global market leader in the world of internal combustion engine(ICE) cleaning products.

Their story started in 1995, when they developed and patented a range of convenient:- 'pour and go' solutions for cleaning fuel and exhaust systems before, during and after combustion, eliminating the need to pay for premium fuels at the pump. From protecting and maintaining the catalytic converter to de-clogging diesel particulate filters, Cataclean is used on a quarterly basis to help clean and protect engines. It is reported that when used prior to an MOT it can help pass the emissions element of this test.

Cataclean is available in petrol, diesel and hybrid variants for car, van, taxi and motorhome applications. They also have products for motorbikes, tools and garden machinery. They are a successful Liverpool City Region based British company that exports to Europe, Asia, Africa, Oceania and the US. Their products have been successfully tried and tested by a range of organisations worldwide, from the American Automobile Association and Road and Transports Authority(RTA) in the United Arab Emirates (UAE) through to Lancashire Police and Veolia in the UK and more locally with UNITE the union and Sefton Council.

Crucially, their products have also had many testimonials from industry experts, as well as customers, including Car Mechanics and Professional Mechanics magazine. With thousands of reviews on Amazon, the majority of which are five-star, and recommended by Halfords Autocentre, their products are carried on the RAC's fleet of breakdown vehicles and conform to strict legislation, providing peace of mind that they do not harm the environment.

Technical Director Zach Baigent said:- "It was great to meet Bill, and explain the diverse difficulties SME's like Cataclean are facing in current times, from cost of living, transport, new HM Revenue Customs procedures, right through to inflationary pressures across the board on all business costs. Importantly, we felt Bill was on our side and understood the economic value of businesses like ours to the Region, and how our products can help bridge the gap to a greener future and to 'race to zero' now."
