Local care company is crowned '5 star employer'

HOME Instead Southport and Formby has been declared a '5 star' employer, showing that care is a worthwhile career path to take. The home care company's employees have commended the company due to factors such as top quality training opportunities and supportive leadership.

All employees of the home care company were invited to take part in an anonymous survey by independent employee engagement experts WorkBuzz. Home Instead Southport and Formby is delighted to have received an impressive employee engagement score of 90, a rating that few companies achieve.

96% of care professionals said they have access to the training they need to do their job well, while 96% also said they feel motivated to go the extra mile.

Owners of Home Instead Southport and Formby, Anthea Pilkington and Irene Hough are calling for more people to come onboard and join the team. There are 20 care professional vacancies on offer for people who want to begin or further a career in care, with a range of hours and contracts on offer.

Interview with Laura Macy

A few weeks back we had the pleasure of interviewing Laura Watson, who goes by the performance name Laura Macy, is a self-employed dancer and also the Musical Director at CODYS Productions. Readers will know that in our 5 September 2022 Edition we ran a report about her fantastic dance video, she had produced, along with Resonant Sounds, and fellow graduates from The Liverpool Institute for Performing Arts (LIPA) over the Covid19 Pandemic. We held back the interview due to the Queen's death.



At the time of the interview, Laura Macy was living in Liverpool and had recently shot an amazing haunting dance show real for the group. In the video, we hear how the group shot the footage and more information about Laura.
