Formby Christmas Festival 2022

THE very 1st Formby Christmas Festival, which was held on 3 December 2022, within the Formby Pool Gardens. The festive event featured a wide range of activities, including:- LEGO building with Northern Brickworks, train rides, and even riding a Robotic Reindeer... Other fun things included live music, from the Merseycats and various other local live acts and artists, like Ellie Edwards and Astrid Allegrah. Other surprises included Miss England, Jessica Gagen, opening the show with the Mayor of Sefton, Councillor Clare Louise Carragher. Also attending on the day was the current Miss Liverpool City Region, Georgia Austin... Plus, no festive show would be complete without the big man himself, Father Christmas, who visited the event on the Formby Rotary Club's newly restored Santa Wagon. Despite a few minor glitches, that meant not all the planned activities could take place, due to illnesses, the event was very well received.

Also taking part where a few Ukrainian families, who have come to the safety of the UK and are currently living in Formby, Merseyside. Pictured below are some of the crafts they have made since arriving in the area.

We can confirm that this event was so successful, it has already been confirmed and booked in, to return in 2023, bigger and better.
