Bugzy Malone will perform his only North West summer festival in Southport!

THE acclaimed British rapper and actor, whose tracks have been streamed over 200 million times, will perform at the Seaside Weekender, at Victoria Park, on:- Friday, 21 July 2023. He will be supported by an Orchestral Rendition of Dr Dre: 2001 LIVE, with other acts to be announced soon. Bugzy Malone's appearance on Friday night will be followed by the:- 'Save The Rave Festival,' on:- Saturday, 22 July 2023 and the:- 'Look A Like Festival,' on:- Sunday, 23 July 2023. This is Bugzy Malone's 1st appearance in Southport and tickets are already selling well.

Born and raised in Manchester, Bugzy Malone's youth was hindered by poverty, domestic violence, gang involvement, criminality and a stint in prison. Yet by managing to transcend his troubled past and difficult upbringing, Bugzy is the embodiment of achievement in the face of adversity. To date, he has released 3 Top 10 EPs, his tracks have been streamed 200 million times, and his YouTube channel has exceeded 100 million views. He has been described as 1 of the key artists instigating a grime revival moving the UK urban scene away from more commercially oriented music, and the 1st artist in the grime genre from Manchester to commercially succeed in the UK.  His album:- 'King of the North' reached number 4 on the UK Album Chart. Also, his new album:- 'The Resurrection' is out now.

As an Actor he has starred in productions including Guy Ritchie's 2019 movie:- 'The Gentlemen,' alongside:- Matthew McConaughey, Hugh Grant, Colin Farrell and Charlie Hunnam.

Seaside Weekender organiser James Daly, owner of Jaly Concerts, said:- "We really can't wait! It is fantastic to be back for our 3rd year running in Southport. This is the 1st time that we have staged an event on the Friday night, to add to what we have on the Saturday and the Sunday, which have been a great success. It will be a superb weekend at Victoria Park with a very eclectic mix of different acts performing each day. We are really excited to be bringing Bugzy Malone to Southport this year. He has gained a huge following, and ticket sales are going exceedingly well. Ticket sales for the Saturday and Sunday are above last year's as well, so it looks like we're heading for some sell out events. We would encourage people to book their tickets early so they don't miss out. We are really looking forward to the Seaside Weekender. The festivals, this year will see the world famous hip hop and rap artist Bugzy Malone performing his only UK show this year on:- Friday, 23 July. Martin Mere offers free kids tickets during teacher strike

WWT Martin Mere Wetland Centre in Burscough, Lancashire, has announced that kids can go free during the planned teacher strike, on Tuesday, 28 February 2023. Families with children aged up to 16 are invited to the centre to enjoy a full day of wetland adventures and meet wetland stars such as adorable otters, flamboyant flamingos and some of the world's most eye catching ducks, geese and swans.

Nick Brooks, Centre Manager at Martin Mere, said:- "We are inviting families to come and enjoy a whole day of fun at our centre. As you venture around our wetlands, you'll learn more about the importance of wetlands and the species that call them home. You can also join us in our pond zone from:- 13:30, until:- 15:00, for our pond dipping session. Dip for nymphs, water boatmen and water fleas and speak to our friendly volunteers to find out more about the creatures you find under the water! You can also learn all about migratory species at our daily wild bird feed with a warden."

Additionally, families can pick up their free LEGO® trail card and discover 15 sculptures that have been exclusively designed for WWT. The sculptures showcase beautiful wetland animals, including a large North American river otter, Hawaiian goose, kingfisher, frog, water vole and more. Over 250,000 LEGO® bricks were used to make the wetland characters,
which took over 1,500 hours to make!
