Liverpool Sound City 2023 - Part 1

THE fantastic annual Liverpool Sound City was held again, over 28 April to 30 April 2023. If you do not already know, the event is the most important UK independent music conference. This event has been running now for over 15 years and has become the place to go for leading industry figures, emerging artists and aspiring music business professionals from across the world. Not only that, but the event also delivers live music shows by an extremely wide range of acts. this diversity helps to keep it at the forefront of the global music conference circuit and a must see event for music fans. Sadly, this years show was not as spread out around the City as it has it has been in recent years due to Eurovision, Also, Eurovision also affected the numbers attending, due to many of the City's hotels and accommodation being fully booked up. But for those who did manage to get to see it, what an amazing event!  This years event was mostly hosted within Liverpool Hope University's Student Guild Halls! The event was extremely relaxed and friendly, with a good mix of things to see and do.  If we had to describe it, it had a similar atmosphere to the yearly Southport Weekenders that we use to regularly attend. These are a few photos of the event, we took at the gigs. We have so many photos and seen so many things, we could not do it justice by putting them all in this weeks edition, so we will be doing more in our next issue! If you have not attended this event, and you like music, well you are missing out! For us, this was not just an extremely good practice run for Eurovision, but also a chance to see some amazing acts, yet again network with some of the UK's best musical influencers. We strongly recommend music fans check out the festival's official website for more information about this amazing event, and do not miss out getting to see it next year when tickets go live! If you miss it this year, you will not want to missing out on a music lovers paradise next year! Let us know your thoughts about this event, if you attended...
