As many watched the Coronation on TV inside others held Street Parties

THE Coronation of King Charles III took place at Westminster Abbey, on 6 May 2023, 70 years on since the Coronation of His Mother, Queen Elizabeth II, in June 1951.  This was the seen in Formby, on Bull Cop, where residents on the road held a Coronation Street Party, complete with live entertainment, that included:- a Saxophonist and a keyboard player, along with a group of dancers from Year 11, at Formby High School, a Barn Owl.  Sadly many other Street Parties had been cancelled due to the weather. Celebratory Coronation Picnic within the grounds of St Luke's Church Formby!

ON Sunday, 8 May 2023, following the Morning Service, St Luke's Church, in Formby, Merseyside, hosted a Coronation Bank Holiday Picnic. Members young and old sat outside and inside, enjoying the atmosphere, and talking about the Coronation service of King Charles III and Camilla the day before.
