Churchtown Village Coronation

ON extra Bank Holiday Sunday, celebrations were held in Chrurchtown to mark The Coronation of King Charles III and the Queen Consort Camilla the day before. Under blue skies, the event attracted far more people than expected and had an extremely friendly, relaxed atmosphere. All around the area windows had displays in them and lampposts had flags on them, as did many of the grass verges around Churchtown Village, including the Roundabout.

Other activities included a mini dog show, along with fairground rides. The event also held a mini Coronation Parade for the kids.

Not only that, but Mighty FM came down to support the event by putting on music and providing a PA for the many musical and dance performances. A big congratulations to all who took part in what was a brilliant day, especially to the main organisers from Dorothy May Salon & Clinic.
