The Sovini Group short listed for prestigious people awards

THE Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) revealed the shortlist for their 2023 People Management Awards, which are a benchmark of excellence in HR, Learning and Development and Organisational Development.

The Sovini Group has been short listed alongside high profile organisations from across the UK, in the:- 'Best CSR/ESG Initiative' category, showcasing its commitment to effectively embedding environmental, social, governance (ESG) into their activities.

The Northwest property company provides quality services to the public, not for profit and private sectors and strives to create a better future for customers, colleagues and the communities they serve.

Judges were impressed by the Group's 'A Better Future: Creating Careers and Communities' initiative, which was driven to increase opportunities for young people, upskill the workforce, provide ESG education, implement community programmes and recruit talented, like minded people to make a difference in creating thriving communities.

Headline Sponsor secured for this year's Southport Flower Show

SOUTHPORT Flower Show this year runs from:- Thursday, 17 August to Sunday, 20 August 2023, and they are delighted announce that the headline sponsor will be Harrison Holidays.

Harrison Holidays is part of the Harrison Leisure Group and this family owned, Preston based business has now been established for over 40 years. And following the announcement William Harrison, who is a Director of Harrison Holidays, told the media that:- "We are thrilled that Harrison Holidays is the headline sponsor of the Southport Flower Show. It is a real summer highlight on the calendar, inspiring visitors with its spectacular show gardens, floral displays, performances and so much more."

The Harrison Holidays team will be at Southport Flower Show throughout the 4 day event to say:- "hello" and share with visitors the experience and joy of owning a holiday home and all about the fun and relaxing times that await at 1 of their holiday parks.

The story of Harrison Holidays goes back to the 1970s and the start of George Harrison's dream. The purchase of a single caravan followed by an incredible amount of hard work meant that seven years later he was able to open his 1st holiday park. Fast forward several decades and the business is thriving under the second generation of Harrisons, George's three sons: George, William and Robert. They continue George's vision for creating holiday parks that are places to make memories and enjoy spending time with family and friends.

George started with a caravan, but Harrison Holidays now has 8 holiday parks that incorporate:- holiday homes, lodges, glamping, tourers, motorhomes, cottages and hot tub accommodation. But that's not all, you'll also find:- bars, restaurants, swimming pools, golf courses, mini-football, games rooms, splash pads, gyms and adventure playgrounds! Percy Wood Holiday Park, on the Northumberland coast, Wild Rose Holiday Park in the Lake District and Riverside Holiday Park and Brooklyn Holiday Park in Southport are just some of the fabulous locations across the North of England.

Southport Flower Show is the largest independent flower show in the country attracting over 55,000 visitors across 4 days.

Visitors can enjoy stunning show gardens and spectacular floral displays in our Grand Floral Marquee. Whether you are an amateur or a professional gardener, you can enjoy gardening tips and advice from our special guests Frances Tophill (Gardeners' World), Katie Rushworth (Love Your Garden), James Wong (botanist and broadcaster) and many more gardening experts.

If growing your own is your thing you will intrigued by our Amateur Growers' Marquee. You will be amazed at how many exhibits are on display including:- flowers, baking, preserves, fruit, veg and honey! The Floral Art will leave you in awe!

The show has a variety of entertainment for the whole family. We have a stunning line up of spectacular thrills and amazing performances to surprise as well as amuse. There will also be lots of hands on art and craft activities to entertain the children and don't forget; children under 16 go free with a paying adult.

With special guests including:- CBeebies Children's Entertainer Justin Fletcher, Potter Keith Brymer Jones and former Strictly Come Dancing Stars Rachel Riley and Pasha Kovalev, there is a whole host of entertainment for everyone to enjoy.

Enjoy famous celebrity and much loved local Chefs John Torode MBE, Lisa Faulkner and Phil Vickery sharing their tips while they cook; live in our Cookery Theatre! Once you've got your inspiration, head to the bustling food marquee where you can sample and buy produce from over 50 independent gourmet producers.
