The 21st Liverpool International Tennis Tournament

IF you don't already know about the Liverpool International Tennis Tournament, it is a fantastic international sporting event that is held annually in June. 2023 marked Tournament's 21st year of Europe's largest and longest-running tennis exhibition event. The Tournament is normally run over 4 days, but due to the economic climate, this years event was only held over 3 days.

The event sees players from all over the world playing on grass courts and entertaining the public. This year was not exception to this, despite the rain and also the event being 1 day shorter. This year the event was able to be back in its original location, in front of Aigburth Cricket Ground's amazing Club House, and not as in the previous 2 years on Liverpool Cricket Club's rugby pitches. With the Courts had been marked out on the Cricket field once again, it provided a fantastic backdrop to the action taking place.

Sadly, we could not go to the 1st day's play, but we did manage to popped over to see the event on both the:- 23 June to 24 June 2023. Annoyingly, following a very hot sunny day before, heavy rain stopped play on the Friday, and it also meant that the entertainment, that included a fashion show, had to go indoors.

What a difference a night makes, as Sunday opened with clear skies once again, and the Sun came out to play, along with the tennis players.  This fantastic weather also allowed for the male models to do another quick show of the Transalpino's clothing line, but this time around the Tournament's Main Court.
