Wirral's 1st Nepalese restaurant opens in Wallasey

WIRRAL'S 1st ever Nepalese restaurant has opened in Liscard, Wallasey, and people are absolutely loving it! Mt Everest is located on Wallasey Road and offers mouth-watering Nepalese cuisine alongside Indian classics; bringing something completely new to the Wirral dining scene.

The restaurant opened in February 2023 and since opening customers have been raving about the quality and being introduced to some incredible authentic Nepalese delights. The menu is extensive, with an abundance of Nepalese and Indian options available;- the Nepalese MoMos (dumplings) and Gurkhali Chicken have been particularly popular.

With a simple colourful style, prayer flags and traditional music, dining at Mt Everest is like a visit to Nepal itself; with flavoursome dishes to capture the senses. The restaurant has been praised by many locals as a much needed addition to the local dining scene and compliments have been flooding in.

One customer, Adam, said:- "Absolutely stunning food. Took me right back to India! What absolutely amazing staff too, it was great to meet such a passionate community-conscious owner. Our review:- 10/10 and our new favourite place to eat!"

The new restaurant has been created by Nepalese culinary legend, Deepak Khadka, who has enjoyed great success with Everest Kitchen in West Derby. Deepak Khadka has made a name for himself as one of the Region's leading Nepalese chefs and is well respected in the Nepalese community. An active member of LIVNEC (Liverpool Nepalese Community), he does lots of great work for local and Nepalese charities.

Deepak said:- "It is a great honour for me to bring my native Nepal to Wirral and the feedback from customers has really touched us. To have such praise from local people is really special and we take great pride in giving each and every one of them a special experience; giving them an authentic taste of our culture and cuisine."

Deepak originally opened Mexican Bar and Grill at the venue, but due to its success and request for large celebration bookings, he has moved that restaurant to a larger Liscard Road premises near Central Park and has now opened the more intimate Mt Everest on Wallasey Road.

Deepak said:- "I opened Mexican Bar and Grill in Liscard in 2021 and it has been very popular, but we soon found that people were booking large parties regularly as it's a really fun celebration venue. That's when I came up with the idea of moving Mexican Bar and Grill to a larger venue and opening Wirral's 1st ever Nepalese restaurant here on Wallasey Road. It was a great decision. Mexican Bar and Grill has been hosting some big celebrations and birthday parties and we always make a fuss so a bigger venue was logical! Meanwhile, people have been loving Mt Everest as it's intimate with traditional Nepalese music and there are some beautiful dishes people are trying for the 1st time. It's worked out great!"

Both of Deepak's Liscard restaurants are open 7 days, both offering a discount on takeaway and deliveries, and both bring something unique to the area. At Mexican Bar and Grill you'll find fun and filling Mexican classics such as:- fajitas, burritos and chimicangas alongside specials, burgers and steaks, whereas Mt Everest brings you mouth-watering Nepalese and Indian cuisine in an intimate setting.

Deepak summarised:- "It is a great honour for me to bring my native Nepal to Wirral and the feedback from customers has really touched us. Mexican Bar and Grill has been doing great things in Liscard and we will continue to do so in our larger venue, but to see the Nepalese concept have such praise from local people is really special."

Mt Everest is located at:- 45 Wallasey Road, serving authentic Nepalese and Indian cuisine, and is open 7 days, from:- 4pm. Mexican Bar and Grill is now located at:- 233 Liscard Road, serving fun and colourful Mexican classics, and is also open 7 days.

Both restaurants offer a 10% discount on deliveries and takeaways.

North Meols Pharmacy Ltd is selling 10 pharmacies

THE specialist business property adviser, Christie and Co, has been instructed to sell 10 pharmacies operating across the North West of England and North Wales on behalf of North Meols Pharmacy Limited.

The 10 pharmacies benefit from standard hours contracts and are operated on a fully managed basis. They boast strong historical performances, with the average dispensing over 10,000 items per month, and over 80 per cent of the estate achieving dispensing volumes significantly ahead of the industry average in England.

Starting from a single pharmacy acquisition in 2009, the group has grown through a series of acquisitions over the last 13 years to its current portfolio size. The pharmacies all occupy well established community settings, including:- 2 integrated GP sites, and are located in clusters across Southport, Wirral and North Wales.

Having successfully operated the pharmacies and built the group over the last 13 years, North Meols Pharmacy Limited is now looking to sell the businesses to concentrate fully on its community pharmacy business in Northern Ireland.

Jon Booth, Director; Medical at Christie and Co, who is handling the sale, comments:- "Naturally, we are delighted to have been instructed to offer the 10 North Meols Pharmacy sites for sale. In our opinion, this is one of the best small pharmacy estates in the North West, with the majority of them having volumes well in excess of the UK average dispensing level. The group represents fantastic opportunities for a range of buyers both large and small."

The 10 pharmacies are:- Hillside, Woodvale, Banks, St Hillary's, Pharmacy First, Parry's Corner, Deside, Elton, Fford Elan, and Galen.

The sales will be conducted in the main by way of asset sales with interest invited on a group, subgroup, or individual basis. For more information, visit:- ProjectTyrone-Christie.Com.
