Big Model & Hobby Show 2023 - Part 1 of 2

THE Big Model and Hobby Show took place on:- 5 August 2023, at Formby High School. The event was opened officially by Miss Merseyside, Paige Canon, who visited most parts of the show, that was spread out around the School. This years event might not have been at a high profile location, like it was in 2022, when it was at Aintree, but this years event managed to pull far bigger numbers to the show. Sadly, the outdoor activities had to be scrapped due to the very wet weather and the wind warnings. But, despite this, the event was packed full of things to see and do. Activities included talks about our local railway history, and even ammeter rocketry. Other activities included virtual model aircraft flying, plus model train driving. Demonstrations of wood carving and lace making, plus more...
