The 99th Southport Flower Show 2023 - Part 2

THE 1st day of the 99th Southport Flower Show took place over 4 days (Thursday, 17 August 2023 to Sunday, 20 August 2023) on Victoria Park, in Southport, Merseyside. This historic event was hampered slightly by the weather that ran up to the event, with some of the planned activities being unable to take place, but it did offer some new opportunities. The unexpected layout, as a result of part of the grass being damaged where the show's outdoor arena is normally held, meant it had been moved to nearer the gardens. This unexpected change proved to be extremely effective. Despite the sight issues, the rest of the show still had lots to see and do.  It was not the only change, but one of many that made this years event even better to navigate.

On the Saturday,, with the thanks of Jessica Page who conduced our video interviews, we heard from some of the gardeners who had come to this years event and put on a wide variety of amazing show gardens.

Also on Saturday, we interviewed a wide selection of stand holders to hear what they had to say. Many of them said they look forward to the show as you can see in the interview below...
