Southport British Musical Firework Championship 2023 - Part 1

ON Saturday, 23 September 2023, the Southport British Musical Firework Championship was held on Victoria Park, in Southport. Frustratingly, weather struck again, leading to the cancellation of Friday Night's displays. If you had a ticket for Friday night, you can get a full refund. More details on getting the refund can be found, on:- VisitSouthport.Com.  But this cancellation meant that Saturday Night, all 6 competitors fired for the very first time ever!

This was an amazing sight to see, with some of the best pyrotechnics we have seen in years at this event. The weather conditions where near to perfect and the atmosphere at the sell out event was just as good as the displays. Oddly, having it on just Friday and Saturday, unlike in previous years played in the favour of the teams, as the wind on Sunday would have, like on the Friday, resulted in a cancellation. We echo the words of Sefton Councils Tourism Department in saying:- "Thank you to all the fireworks companies for 6 AMAZING displays! See you next year..."
